The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), aimed at liberalising trade among 12 Pacific-rim countries, has been signed on 4 February 2016. This will make new trade opportunities for member nations, including Vietnam and Japan. As an advantage of this expanded market access, TPP will attract additional FDI to Vietnam and drive further investments in an increasingly competitive business environment. Along with growing incomes, Vietnamese people have a growing appetite for foreign brands, that is also a great opportunity for Japanese manufacturers who are considering of penetrating Vietnamese market.
